Bali is one of those dream destinations for almost everyone.there is something about the island that attracts all kinds of travelers.from party backpackers to honeymooners to expatriates and retirees, Bali does not discriminate against anyone. No matter who you are, a month on Bali is a month well spent.
There is something to do here for whatever interests you, which makes it really difficult to write a post like this.all travelers are different.you don\’t have to follow this exact route or stay the exact number of days. You don\’t even have to read this to have a good time in Bali. honestly, if you are in Bali right now, leave this site and go. You are going to have fun no matter what you do.
One could prioritize the parties and stay in Kuta a little longer, either by choice or by hangover. One could literally «find oneself» in Ubud and accidentally become a yogi in the Yoga Barn for the rest of one\’s life.Hey, you do it.That\’s the beautiful part of Bali. Everyone is doing their own thing and everyone else is too happy and content to judge.
Let me welcome you to the magical world of Bali.
Travel to Denpasar in 30 days
What to see in Bali in 1 month is to enjoy its volcanoes, its beaches, its thick jungles, its varied fauna, its people, its customs, its gastronomy, to go to its markets where you can find a great variety of typical objects of the island. Where to stay? When you arrive in Bali you must find a place to stay, the best areas are Sanur and Canggu which have places that offer a great view of the best mountains or the rice fields, besides that they have all the services and comforts for the moment to rest.
What transport to use? The best thing to do when you arrive in Bali for a month is to rent a vehicle that allows you to move around in a more comfortable, quicker way and not lose time waiting for a taxi or public transport and start visiting the main tourist destinations, among which are the following
To enjoy the nightlife you must visit Kuta is the area that has more spaces to enjoy leisure with bars, discos and restaurants where you can dance and listen to live music.
If you want to enjoy the most important beaches of Bali you must visit Seminyak, where the most beautiful beaches are, that when the night begins to fall the parties begin that last until late hours and for the most beautiful sunsets you must go to Uluwatu.
♀⛩ What cannot be missed are the most famous temples of Bali which are of great beauty and with their own style, among them are the Mother Temple of Bali, the Pure Beseakih Temple, the Pure Tana Lot, the Pure Uluwatu Temple or the Pure Ulun Danu Temple.
You must visit the mountains formed by the rice terraces, to do this you must go to Mount Batukaru where the Jaluwih rice fields are, which have been considered by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.’, «
Don’t miss out on seeing and enjoying the incredible lakes and bathing in their waters, some of them are Lake Butran, Lake Tamblingan, Lake Bunyan or Lake Batur in any of them you will enjoy a pleasant atmosphere.
What to see in Bali in 1 month
Days 1-2: Kuta
Let’s take Kuta out of the way immediately. It is one of the closest resorts to the airport, which makes most people think it is a good starting point. On the one hand, lower your expectations and you start to see Bali as another invaded tourist destination, however, it is one of the best cities on the island to have fun. There are a ton of world famous bars and clubs on Kuta , including Sky Garden, Pyramid Club, and a number of beachside establishments. There is not much to do here other than party, but it is a good center for seeing the rest of the island.however, the traffic is horrible and it is easily the most chaotic city on Bali.many beginners will arrive here and assume that the rest of Bali is the same.
You couldn’t be more wrong, Bali has a bad reputation sometimes for being too touristy.even if the first impressions of Bali left a bad taste in your mouth, most of that can be attributed to the busy trip to Ubud or getting stuck in Kuta’s traffic for an hour.
Give Bali a chance and leave Kuta as soon as you can. You don’t need three days here, but it’s a good transition point, especially if you’re jet-lagged and only need to relax and adapt for a few days.
Days 3-4: Seminyak
Seminyak is like a toned, fashionable version of Kuta, it’s less rubbish and although it’s still touristy, it has a good mix of other travellers who aren’t drunken Australian teenagers.
It’s the place to be if you’re looking for trendy bars and clubs on the beach La Favela is one of the most famous and deserved. That place was absolutely massive and the vibe was incredible. It has several floors, several dance floors, several indoor and outdoor sections and a statue of Christ the Redeemer. During the day, you can relax at Double Six Beach at any of the beach clubs, such as Potato Head, Finn’s or Ku De Ta. The best sunsets in the world are the ones you can find here. Unfortunately, you can’t recommend much to do here other than have fun and fortunately , enjoying yourself in Bali is not a big deal . There are tons of great places to eat, drink, shop and walk around Seminyak .
Days 5-7: Canggu
Canggu is definitely one of the most promising tourist spots in Bali, in the coming may look a lot like Kuta or Seminyak , with rapid development already taking place in this picturesque surfer’s village .», «However, it is a favorite of the Kuta-Seminyak trio Canggu . Within a couple of miles of the beach, you will basically be in a hippie town .
Beach clubs line the black sand beach, where you will see surfers of varying abilities trying to tame the waves.the grass is one of the favorite places in all of Bali and gives you a taste of luxury that you probably didn’t think you could afford as a backpacker. Old Man’s is another popular place for young travelers to hang out.a new business called The Parachute that looks amazing.they have a giant outdoor tepee and everyone sits underneath.for the real things to do here, surfing is life . Many people try to surf here because it’s easy and not complicated at all.it’s a good place to try it for the first time and you can rent boards for less than $5 an hour (try to get that surf session in the evening).you won’t regret it.
What can I do in Canggu?
- Tanah Lot Temple, although very touristy, is also a great place for sunsets.you will compete with many other travelers for that unique moment, it’s just you and the sun.
- At night, the party is unreal, places like La Laguna, Pretty Poison and The Lawn offer a diverse nightlife experience. Unfortunately, most of the nightlife closes up early here, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a good time.Pretty Poison has a skate bowl outside the club.the lawn offers a more elegant excursion with an infinity pool right by the beach, although it gets pretty crazy once the sun goes down. La Brisa is a modern, exclusive establishment with a unique design and beautiful waterfront views.
- You can’t mention Canggu without mentioning the food.Crate Cafe is one of the most famous establishments among travelers. Copenhagen Cafe is a new, but delicious, restaurant that just opened its doors earlier this year. you can wander around and find something to suit your appetite, this is the third time The Lawn has been mentioned, but you literally get addicted to their nachos and coconut mojitos.», «
Day 8: Sunrise excursion to Mount Batur
Are you done celebrating? Well, let’s get you in shape. It doesn’t really matter where you are when you decide to do this, but it will definitely take a whole day. It is recommended to leave from Ubud as it is one of the closest towns, although it doesn’t matter much as there is hardly any traffic when you leave at 3 in the morning . You will finish the walk in the morning and depending on whether you go to the hot springs later, you will be back in your crib by early afternoon at the latest. It is recommended that you ask if you can be picked up in one town with all your things and dropped off in a different town, it will save you transportation costs if you get there. If not, it will be good for you to rest in your bed once you get back. The pictures didn’t shock me at first, but once you get to the top, you will realize how little the pictures matter when doing an adventure like this.
Hiking Mount Batur is something you should definitely do , especially if you have an adventurous travel style, this certainly becomes one of the favorite parts of the whole trip to Bali.
Days 9-15: Ubud
Ubud is personally the favorite city on the whole island , you will realize that it is almost impossible to get away from the tourists completely, but the city is scattered enough so that you do not feel constantly overwhelmed.
has the reputation or n of be the capital hippie of Bali , the that is a valuation or n totally just . Where Kuta and Seminyak ten í an clubs in boom here í you have a barn of yoga as its establishment tur í stico m á s extravagant . The < strong > salons Hookah < / strong > are are or are form from life night here í , although CP Lounge occasionally has some good nights .
It is definitely the place to take it easy and relax. If you like to party, it is probably a good idea to go after the party you will have in Kuta, Seminyak and Canggu .
- Jungle Fish and Folk Pool and Gardens are favourite places for many, people are in the city centre on Monkey Forest Road, but it’s a bit more difficult to get to Jungle Fish.
- For other things to do in Ubud, there’s nothing better than getting on your scooter and cruising the open roads. The streets are much emptier than anywhere else in the Nusa Dua region of Bali. Drive 10-15 minutes to Tegallalang and you will see the iconic rice terraces that you have probably seen so many pictures of.
- Other places to visit are the famous Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, the Water Palace and the Campuhan Ridge Walk.», ‘There are also many beautiful rice fields to explore in the area, many of which are not known to tourists.
Al principle , pens é que ser í a descort é s deambular por ah í while some of the farmers local of Bali worked , but all seems í an really happy of see us and talk with us . < strong > The people balin é s es incre í blemente friendly and has a culture so cozy . < / strong >
Day trips from Ubud:
There are many incredible places in the northern part of the island that are relatively difficult to reach. Although you have probably seen impressive photos of these places, it often takes several hours round trip to get there from the Nusa Dua area. Ubud puts you in a slightly better position and between yoga and vegetarian ice cream, you should find your way to these places.
✅ Waterfall Tour: Git-Git , Aling-Aling and Tegenungan You can do all three and more with a waterfall tour which will take you all day even though you may be too tired to go on the third. Aling-Aling is arguably the most beautiful of the three. The twin waterfalls of Git-Git are also quite cool and the short walk to get there is beautiful and is full of lush vegetation.
✅ Temple of Pure Lempuyang Luhur and Ulun Danu Pure Lempuyang Luhur , also known as The Gates of Heaven , is where you will find the iconic doors which you can see everywhere in photos. You know, the one where a girl in a flowered dress pretends to walk towards the doors while the Mount Agung looks out majestically in the background. Spectacular!
The temple Ulun Danu is a small temple in the middle of a lake . You know, where the girl in a flowery dress looks nostalgically towards the temple of which she knows nothing but the fact that it will give her at least 200 tastes.
✅ Walk some rescue dogs! One of the things no one tells you about Bali is the stray dog epidemic and also that a small portion of the local population eats dogs.there are many dog shelters in Bali, most of which are run by the BAWA (Bali Animal Welfare Association).
Many of the dogs are in poor physical condition, having been tortured or beaten, some of them have no limbs or have deformities and have suffered great emotional trauma. The BAWA people do a great job and the dogs were very happy, despite their hard past.
Day 16-20: The Gili Islands (Trawangan, Air, Main)
It is strange how three islands with the same name can be so surprisingly different from each other
- Gili Trawangan is known as the dream destination of the holidaymaker. Gili Air is the place to relax and unwind. Gili Meno is a romantic getaway, often referred to as «Honeymoon Island».

Spending up to five days on these islands is not difficult, considering the variety you can have. The real attraction of the Gili Islands is the separation from the rest of the world. At night, a clear sky will allow you to see some of the best stars you will ever see.
It\’s hard to ask for anything more than lazy mornings, afternoons on the beach, watching the sunset in a beachside bar, and then partying all night long.
Days 21-26: The Nusas (Penida, Lembongan, Ceningan)
The Nusas, are as virgin and beautiful as a paradise you can expect. Despite being only a short boat ride away from Bali it is far from the commercialization and urbanization you have probably become accustomed to. You are truly separated from the outside world.
They were what I expected Bali to be before my expectations faded in the first ten minutes of leaving the airport. The roads are treacherous, transportation is minimal and the 7-Elevens are nonexistent. The waters are pure, the forests are dense and the views are world famous.
There is a lot to do on each island:
- Nusa Lembongan: is by far the most developed, although that is not saying much. Nusa Penida: is the largest, but remains almost untouched, except for the few popular tourist attractions. Nusa Ceningan: you can reach it on foot or by motorcycle through a yellow bridge that connects it with Nusa Lembongan.

You can swim with stingrays or catch some waves and these are just some of the most popular activities. One week here should be enough , but you could definitely spend a lot more time here. Being separated from the rest of the world is a beautiful thing So is this sunset Devil’s Tear in Nusa Lembongan.
Days 27-30: Uluwatu
Leave the best for last. Uluwatu is the most beautiful part of the island. The endless cliffs whipped by the powerful waves are those impressive views that one expects from a place like Bali.whether you go to the temple of Uluwatu or Omnia , the cliffs are omnipresent . It leaves you wondering if you really want to drive 2 to 3 hours through the Nusa Dua traffic at rush hour to get there, but I am very glad I did. Here is also one of ‘s best night and day life in Bali. In terms of luxury, a club like Omnia is unbeatable. When you look at the place, you just have to soak it up and accept that your life is in full swing. Rock Bar and the famous Single Fin are two other party places you can’t miss.
Take care of your hangovers on the beach, maybe catch a few waves if you have the energy and then have fun again at night.one of my favorite parts here was the extension I had.
