The Gili Islands are three small islands: Gili Trawagan , Gili Meno and Gili Air, located to the northeast of Lombok, Bali’s neighboring island.

Gili Trawagan is, of the 3 islands, the one that offers more hotel infrastructure, offers a multitude of restaurants, bars and nights of great entertainment. Gili Air has good hotels and restaurants, much quieter at night, ideal for couples and families.
The temperature is very hot all year round, from 23ºC to 32C, the rainy season is very cloudy, it is recommended to travel from the beginning of June to the end of September.
Cars and motorbikes are not allowed on the islands but there is a great offer of bicycle rentals.
To go from Bali to the Gili Islands:
1.-Fast boat: the most recommended and although we lose half a day between transfers and arrivals and departures from the island, the boat takes 2 hours to reach the Gili. It departs from the port of Badang to the southwest of Bali. The price includes the transfer hotel – port. They leave every day, at 9:30 in the morning and 1:00 in the afternoon.
2.-Public ferry Essential requirement: Be patient and have plenty of time, you will lose a whole day and still not arrive in Gili the same day, you have to spend the night in Sengigi, Lombok, take the ferry from Padang Bai to Lembar port in Lombok, weather permitting, the boat leaves every hour 24 hours a day. Bus to Sengigi or Bansal, 2 to 3 hours and public boat from Sengigi or Bangsal to Gili, 20 minutes to half an hour, total 10 to 12 hours, private boat from Sengigi to Gili
