Seminyak Beach (Bali’s luxury beach)

Seminyak is a mixed tourist/residential area located on the west coast of Bali, north of Kuta and Legian.

Many luxury resorts and hotels abound, as well as wonderful beaches. Due to its high density of high-end shops, combined with the clustering of many fine dining establishments, it has quickly become one of the island’s most popular tourist areas.

Seminyak Beach

Seminyak is today the fashion, gastronomy and accommodation district of Bali, a luxury coastal enclave just north of Legian and Kuta. Located about 10 km from Denpasar, the capital of Bali, Seminyak extends from Double Six Street in the south and transforms into the villages of Kerobokan and Umalas, north of the temple of Pura Petitenget.

Although it may be somewhat difficult to stipulate where exactly Kuta, Legian or Seminyak begin or end, one thing is clear: Seminyak is certainly in a class of its own. The atmosphere here is much more sophisticated and relaxed compared to Kuta, while the beach in particular is relatively quieter during the day.

Seminyak beach in Kuta town

Tourists who have been to Seminyak beach say that it is one of the most fantastic beaches in Bali. In case you are in that place, do not forget to see the legendary sunsets and enjoy the tranquility that offers its beautiful environment in addition to marvel at the Balinese ceremonies made in the middle of the beach with gamelan orchestra and offerings to their gods.

The beach of luxury in Bali

Seminyak is part of the main conurbation of the west coast in southern Bali and traffic can be very congested at times. From Kuta and Legian, Legian Street runs parallel to the beach, and at its western boundary it continues as Seminyak Street .

You can also reach Seminyak by the east passage of Sunset Street. This is almost invariably the fastest route from Kuta and Legian to Seminyak , although it is actually a longer distance.
